Who Was Involved? |
It was mainly lead by Bolshevik Party leader Vladimir Lenin. He believed that Russia was ready for a socialist movement. Lenin renamed the country the Union of Soviet Socialist Republic. Bolsheviks harshly regimented the economy, seized grain form angry peasants, suppressed nationalist rebellions and committed horribly bloody deeds. If anyone was against his new regime, he would send them to the isolated terrain of Siberia.
